About the Business

Baisikeli is the Swahili word for Bicycle and, apart from simply being a unique name for our business, it underlines a wider commitment to the world of cycling. So, as well as offering fairly priced bicycle servicing we undertake to support bicycle related charities and school projects in Kenya and other parts of East Africa, where for some life really is All About the Baisikeli.

As a means of transport the bicycle is about as green as it gets (other than walking!), however, some of the products used in maintaining the bicycle are not, especially chain oil, component grease, degreaser and cleaning products. At Baisikeli we only use eco-friendly lubricant and cleaners supplied by the award winning Green Oil, producers of the worlds greenest bicycle maintenance products.
