Hargroves Cycles was established in 1981 by Peter Hargroves. The first shop was located in Millbrook, Southampton and at the time was named Raymond Peters Cycles. This shop is still on the originalsite and is one of our busiest shops. In 1985 Peter Hargroves bought the company outright and the name was changed to Hargroves Cycles. Since then the Hargroves Cycles brand has grown to become the most recognised quality bike shop chain in the South of England.

Retul was founded in 2007. I have been personally trained by Todd Carver (founder of Retul), Matt Steinmetz (Retul's head fitter now of 51 Speedshop) and John Dennis (Retul's EuropeanInstructor) at the first ever European Retul University Course in 2010. This has established me as one of the longest qualified Retul fitters in Europe and the UK. More recently I have been on an aerodynamics course hosted by Alphamantis and Retul.

Once your bike is booked in and we've received your bike, we'll check the bike over and provide you with a couple of quotes to choose from. We'll never do work on your bike that you haven't preapproved. We'll give you a rough time scale with the quote. Some bikes can be done while you wait, whilst others may need a week or so, depending on parts. If you have a used bike we will be happy to take a donation towards our 2nd hand bike project or may be willing to make an offer towards the bike.

JB Cycles Ltd is a local bicycle repair service run by Bitterne Park resident Jon Bingham. I run it in my spare time for people in Bitterne Park and surrounding areas of Southampton as a low costcommunity service to keep peoples bicycles serviced, and safe to ride on the roads. I have been repairing bicycles since I was 10 years old and can effect repairs for most problems that people will have on their bikes.

We aim to give a friendly and informative service, to help you choose the bike that is right for you, not the bike that is right for us! We want you to be confident that the bike you buy, is value formoney, will last, will give pleasure and will be repaired if anything should go wrong. We are happy to work on any bike, whether one bought from us or just your bike that needs a service. Our aim is to be friendly, informative and cost effective. We use new and reconditioned spares.
